A new 10-part series has launched on Animal Planet taking viewers inside Alaska’s wildlife refuges. On “Into Alaska,” the camera follows a refuge law enforcement officer responding to capsized boaters, researchers trekking into remote areas to monitor bear and salmon and a biologist training to become a pilot to conduct aerial wildlife surveys. The series, which highlights Kenai and Kodiak national wildlife refuges, premiered Monday, Oct. 15, in time for National Wildlife Refuge Week.
